Re: William Jay Greiner and Malbaie River Outfitters Inc. (Les Pourvoiries de la Malbaie Inc.) v. Government of Canada (North American Free Trade Agreement – Chapter 11)
Dear Sirs:
This letter represents formal notice of the Claimants' (Mr. William J. Greiner and Malbaie Outfitters Inc. (Les Pourvoiries Malbaie Inc.)) withdrawal of the above-noted claim under Chapter 11 of the North American Free Trade Agreement.
The Claimants irrevocably and permanently withdraw their Notice of Arbitration dated November 2, 2010 and their Amended Notice of Arbitration dated December 2, 2010, and waive any claim for costs in any way related to either Notice of Arbitration. In addition, the Claimants further waive and discharge the Government of Canada from any legal action or arbitral or court proceedings against it relating to the measures challenged in either Notice of Arbitration, and shall indemnify the Government of Canada against any claim or legal action the Claimants may initiate against it, relating to the measures challenged in either Notice of Arbitration.
