RE: PCA CASE N° 2020-19 — AECON CONSTRUCTION GROUP INC. (CANADA) V. THE REPUBLIC OF ECUADOR

Dear Sirs,
I write under the instructions of the Tribunal further to the Parties’ correspondence of August 30, 2022, whereby they indicate (i) a preference for holding the November Hearing in The Hague and (ii) no objection to shortening the duration of the Hearing.
In the circumstances, the Tribunal revokes its decision to hold the November Hearing in Washington D.C. and determines that the Hearing shall be held at the PCA’s premises in The Hague. All arrangements made to date to hold the Hearing in Washington D.C. will be cancelled.

Further, the Tribunal confirms that the November Hearing shall take place between November 7 and November 11, 2022, with November 12, 2022 in reserve.
The PCA will contact the Parties at an appropriate juncture regarding the logistical and other arrangements surrounding the Hearing. Should either Party require assistance in securing visas for prospective hearing participants, they are requested to contact the PCA directly at their convenience.
